One thing August definitely reminded me of is how much I enjoy making time for my girls. Between a girls’ evening out and a picnic I organized with some girlfriends, there were lots of conversations, laughter, food, and just enjoying each other’s company.

Life gets busy, and coordinating everyone’s schedules somehow gets harder the older we get 😂, so I really appreciate the times when we actually make it happen.
There were lots of family moments too. We did a Home Depot workshop with the kids, enjoyed a BBQ with friends, celebrated a few birthdays, and squeezed in a few other little things along the way. Honestly, those are sometimes my favourite kinds of weekends. Just being together, doing something fun and making memories without necessarily having a big plan behind it.
And of course, we squeezed in a little adventure too.
We visited Yoho National Park for the first time and finally got to see Emerald Lake and Natural Bridge. Emerald Lake was every bit as beautiful as I imagined, and it felt good to add another national park to our family adventures.
We also made it back out to Moraine Lake, and honestly, some places just never stop being beautiful. 💙
There are destinations you visit once, check off your list, and move on from, and then there are places you could happily see over and over again. Moraine Lake is definitely one of those for me.
Somewhere in between all of that, there were gym days, quiet days at home, and regular everyday life happening in the background.
And I think that's what I want these Life Lately posts to hold.
Not necessarily the biggest moments. Not a list of everything we did. Just little snapshots of what life looked and felt like during a particular season.
Because years from now, I probably won't remember every detail of August 2026. But I'll have this - The girls’ dates. The family days. The birthdays. The adventures. The ordinary moments in between.
